well I received the hd from flipkart as expected.... although I wanted to go for BUFFALO, went for this...its a very good hd and has good features in terms of s/w....but the transfer rate is slow compared to other hd's in the market..... theoretically that would give you more life for the storage device ... everything else is good abt this hd and as its a nice brand should live up to its name....

Good drive but did I actually get a 75% discount on it?

I still saved around Rs. 200 that's just 5% compared to it's current price. Moving on.

Built quality:
Strictly average. The main drive enclosure is pretty good. But the plastic wire holder which attaches itself to the main enclosure appears to be flimsy and it creaks on applying slight pressure. But it should not matter much as you can detach the plastic wire holder completely.

Stylish and eye catching.

I got this for 3999 INR but discovered that Toshiba 1TB HDD was available for Rs.3800 only from Amaz on. However, ADATA is a brand new to India but I purchased it for its looks. The USB cable provided with it is too short for comfortable placing. I found it odd to place it very near to the USB port and sometimes have to let it hang because of the shortness of the cable which results in the drive getting disconnected. After 20 months still in good shape. No Regrets for this HDD

UPDATE: After 20 months of use all I can say is, it is still as good as a new product.
Well this is my 2nd HDD. Its has surpassed 1yr and is still going strong.
Pros-
1. Sexy Looks
2. Avg transfer speed 55MB/s. It starts with 65-80MB/s then comes down to 60MB/s when it finishes a 2GB movie file. (speed for usb 3.0 port. )

I was looking for a hard disk and went to Lamington road only to find out that 1 TB hard disks were retailing at 4.4 K or more. One of the retailers told me to get it from Flipkart, where it is cheaper.

I wanted to create a media disk for movies and music. I didn't want to mix up work or important software with the contents on this disk.

Awsome Device specially with the Price Tag it Holds

Hi Viewers and Buyers,

This is a budget friendly device with good look and feel. I am getting a healthy read and write speed. I am facing no lagging too. Any way stuffs behave very differently with different people & for me its a woow!...

The over all built quality is good. the device jerks a bit but for me, its not a big deal as far as its keeping my data safe.

The cable supplied is very short but with a good built... I hope it could get a bit longer.

Hi Buyers!

As a regular buyer from Flipkart, I try to post my opinion whenever I buy something from here. Recently I bought this product.

The packing to my astonishment from Flipkart delivered was not at a very good condition. Still I found my portable HDD sealed and in Good Condition. It waas from WS Retail!!!! Thanks to them!!!

The HDD showed decent speed in data transfer and I had a little detecting issue for the first time. I dont know it may b a particular issue with my own PC May b...

This is an awesome external 1TB HDD. It's read & write speed is awesome too. It reads at average 90 MBps in my laptop with Windows 10. It's versatile too. It fell down from my hands so many times, still it's running so fast like hell. I use it to save my downloaded movies, music, PC games and documents and also connect it to my 40" Full HD TV and watch movies and music videos on the swing. It's a must buy for those looking out for 1TB external HDD for themselves.
