- The product was well packaged and it delivered sooner then promised.
- The product was brand new, box-packed in original sealed box from WD. It looks great and very comfortable in carrying around!
- As storage calculation has always been 1000 bits (instead of 1024); 2 TB would mean 2000000000000 bytes which means about 1.82 GB of storage spac...

Best in the market!
This is my first extetnal hdd..........but its very fast...and i like the packaging......but the only thing i would like better is that the usb 3.0 with this ...is......a little short ..........and feels .....a little but ....lower quality ............i would have prefered the cable to be longer and more stiffer ...like the ones that comes with ...a new phone........other than that small matter.....this is great product......but one problem...IT'S NOT EXACTLY 2TB IT GIVES 1.8TB OR 1.7TB

If You love your memories plz don't buy
Initially the product was awesome and have enjoyed the data transfer very well. Suddenly after 1.5 years i am not able to open the hard drive on my pc. However the connection was alive as the light was blinking. I always use licences antivirus, safely remove the drive etc. Still today i have lost all data including pics of my close family member who has already passed away. No 3.0 only 2.0
Its suppose to work with 3.0 speeds and it never works for me at USB 3.0 speeds. I have tried on multiple laptops with USB 3.0 standard ports and it never crosses max of 18MB/s speed.
I had a hell lot of expectation from this, but turned out to be disappointing.
* Flipkart retains its best service, but my product is a disaster, so this rating.

Hello Everyone,
Based on the reviews, I decided to buy the hard drive, in April and stored all my data on it. Unfortunately I trusted it too much. Now, the drive is not readable and has gone kaputt!! I wouldn't recommend this hard drive to anyone.

Packaging is nice. This is the second 2TB WD HD I bought in a month, because the earlier one was so good I gifted it to someone special. Nice HD, no need of external power source, portable, Speed around 40-50 MBPS at USB 3.0 which is sufficient for me, as I am more concerned about storage space than with speed. A little bit heavier...

Good Product!
Got very good deal and got it for Rs.5,799. This HDD is quiet small, so very handy to keep it anywhere to carrying in a pocket. The device is having Type-B 3.0 USB ports. I am getting speed of about 60mbps to 90mbps.

I have been using this hard drive for 15 days. Performance is flowless. No heating problem. easy to handle and operate.
But transfer speed is never greater than 34Mbps in USB 2.0.
And the biggest problem is that it does not gets connected via USB 3.0.
